Vodacom League replays
The Competition's Committee of the South African Football Association has released dates for the replay of the two league matches in the Northern Cape Vodacom Promotional League that were under review. Namaqua Stars will host Kakamas Cosmos at Kamieskroon while Real Madrid will visit Young Pirates at Diskobolos in the Northern Cape.
Both fixtures will be replayed on Wednesday 06 May 2009 and the matches kick-off at 15h00. In the previous encounters Namaqua Stars defeated Kakamas Cosmos 52-0 and Real Madrid were 26-2 winners over Young Pirates. Following the Findings and Recommendations of the Referees Review Committee, the matches were declared null and void due to questionable circumstances over the results.
Meanwhile, two people have been appointed to further investigate the role that might have been played by the clubs in these controversial matches, which means the day for the public draw of the Vodacom League Play offs will only be announced once the judicial process is complete.
