Data Architect (Mining Application)

As a Data Architect and Engineer, you will design, build, and deliver transformative business solutions using modern data platforms. Your role involves integrating, storing, modelling, analysing, and reporting data while aligning solutions with business needs and optimizing trade-offs.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement cloud data solutions tailored to client needs using AWS.
• Develop cloud and data transformation strategies while optimising FinOps considerations.
• Design and implement data modelling, ETL/ELT, data ingestion, validation, and quality processes.
• Experience with DataOps, DevOps, and release management (JIRA, Confluence, ADO).
• Contribute to system design, feasibility studies, and proposals (RFPs, solution costs, schedules).
• Data Modelling, Mining applications, Data Taxonomy and AI processes.
• Data and AI Strategy.
• Data architecture principles.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or informatics. Equivalent experience with relevant certifications is accepted.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, or related certifications in ML, analytics, or engineering preferred.
• 10+ years in data management, engineering, analytics.
• Experience as a Lead Architect, Lead Engineer, or Tech Lead.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and AWS or Azure
• Preferred certifications: TOGAF and relevant data certifications (e.g. DAMA or equivalent).
