Gambia Press Union secures project
The executive board of The Gambia Press Union (GPU) has announced that its request for the Media for Advocacy-Advocacy for Media Project from The Gambia Media Support Project (GAMES) was approved on 27 February 2012. The new project is a continuation of the Media Development Project-Professional Reporter Programme and and aims to further enhance the professional capacity of journalists and institutional capacity of the GPU. The project has a lifespan of 36 months and will commence on 1 April and be completed 31 March 2015. For more, go to newmediaadvocacy.org.
