M&G releases highest-ever circulation figures
The Mail & Guardian's Audit Bureau of Circulation figures reveal growth of 12.4% in the period October - December 2008. The newspaper now sells an audited 58 258 copies a week (as against 48 292 in 2006), the highest in its 25-year history. The increase includes third-party bulk sales of 2.1% (1208 copies). Publisher Anastacia Martin attributes the growth to the newspaper's coverage of politics and current affairs, and its investigations.
