Patrick Xu to replace Bessie Lee as WPP China CEO
WPP has appointed GroupM China CEO Patrick Xu as the CEO of WPP China; he is to replace Bessie Lee. Xu is to take on the dual role from 2 May in Shanghai.
In his new role at WPP, Xu has been tasked with aligning WPP companies and resources, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the group's local and global efforts. Before joining GroupM, Xu worked at Mondelez Internationa, Procter & Gamble and Danone China which was later acquired by Kraft Foods.
