Former Editor back in the hot seat at WIEL magazine
Ferdi de Vos, former Editor-in-Chief of the country's only monthly Afrikaans motoring consumer magazine, WIEL, has taken up the reigns again as Acting Editor of WIEL for the foreseeable future.
This announcement by Johnnic Communications follows the resignation of Danie Botha who has filled the position of WIEL Editor for the past 18 months. Botha has decided to persue a full-time career producing the KykNet motoring television series La't Wiel.
De Vos originally joined WIEL as Editor in 1997, later becoming Editor-in-Chief of both WIEL and sister motoring publication Drive. In 2003 he left the company to pursue a freelance career but maintained a close and valuable involvement with both these prime publications. His latest appointment as Acting Editor of WIEL brings with it a positive situation of stability and continuity, thereby avoiding a transition period for the magazine.
