Zioux appoints two new head chefs
Zioux has announced chefs Mike van Rooyen and Moses Moloi will lead its culinary team in Joburg's urban Zioux opening in November. This team represents some of the best young chefs that South Africa has to offer.
Van Rooyen has gained extensive international experience during four seasons operating as a private yacht chef and has interned at Michelin-starred restaurants Frantzén in Sweden, Oud Sluis in Netherlands and The Ledbury in London.
Moloi joins the Zioux team from Fyn restaurant, where he managed the team with Ashley Moss. Previously, he worked at Greenhouse Restaurant under chef Peter Tempelhoff, and as a sous chef for Grei Restaurant at The Saxon Hotel under chef Candice Philip. He has also worked internationally at the Ritz Carlton Naples in Florida with George Fistrovich and Juan Pablo de la Sota.
