Java Developer

An opportunity for a Java developer has been made available with one of our clients in the motor industry.

We are currently searching for a candidate with experience in JavaScript and Spring Boot. In this role, you will be required to prepare test data and documentation, conduct unit tests, regression tests, and system integration security tests, record results, and manage change activities.

Requirements:

• Relevant IT or business degree or equivalent experience.
• Five years’ experience.
• German language skills (advantageous).
• Experience with:
  • REST, OData, or GraphQL (advantageous).
  • NodeJS (advantageous).
  • Java MicroProfile (JAX-RS) (advantageous).
  • Java / Spring Boot.
  • JavaScript and JS UI frameworks (ReactJS or Angular, NodeJS).
  • HTML5, CSS3.
  • CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous development).
  • SQL (Oracle or Postgres).
  • Test-driven development or automated testing tools (Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, Cucumber, WireMock).
  • IntelliJ or WebStorm.
  • Build tools (Maven, Gradle, Gulp, Grunt, Webpack).
  • Jenkins (CI or DevOps).
  • Typescript.
  • ESB integration skills (IIB, Tibco, Oracle Fusion, MQS, messaging concepts).
  • Working with queues, flows, and execution groups.
  • Docker / AWS.
  • Kubernetes / AWS.
  • Git (version handling), Bitbucket, or SVN.
  • IoC / dependency injection.
  • Jira and Confluence.
  • Microservices.
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) charter.

This is a contract position based in Midrand, Centurion, or semi-remote, offering a contract rate of R600 per hour (negotiable based on experience and ability).
