IT Support Assistant

The IT Support Assistant will assist with the maintenance of the company’s computer systems and networks, helping to ensure smooth and efficient operation across the organisation. This entry-level position will involve troubleshooting basic issues, supporting daily operations, and learning from more experienced IT staff.

• Assist with installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Help monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Respond to basic service issues and requests under supervision.
• Provide support and guidance to company staff in the use of various technologies.
• Assist with setting up accounts for new users and managing login credentials.
• Help with inventory management of IT equipment and supplies.
• Participate in testing and evaluating new technology under guidance.

Experience:

• Prior experience in IT support or a similar role is beneficial but not required.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and/or macOS environments preferred.

Skills:

• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with internet security and data privacy principles is advantageous.
• Comfortable using a variety of operating systems and software applications.
• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with team members.

Working conditions:

• In-office role with occasional need to visit other locations within the company.
• May involve lifting of moderately heavy items, such as computers and printers.
