Technical Execution: SEO and UX (Freelance / Contract)

We need a technically-minded digital contractor who gets both SEO and UX — and how they work together. You’ll work across our websites to improve performance, user experience, and rankings. This includes updates to content and layout, optimising existing pages, and working with our design and development team to test, measure, and refine.

The ideal person knows how to spot technical issues, loves a fast-loading site, and isn’t afraid to get deeply stuck into WordPress. You’ll also help QA test pages, check for consistency across devices, and support our content and dev teams with implementation.

What you’ll do:

• Identify and execute SEO improvements on existing pages
• Review and refine UX across page templates
• Support page rollouts and updates from a technical standpoint
• Test, review, and QA across browsers and devices
• Ensure all content is indexable, readable, and fast

Must-have:

• Strong knowledge of WordPress (incl. plugins, builders, settings)
• Strong HTML / CSS Skills
• Practical experience in SEO and UX

Advantageous:

• Familiarity with Google Search Console, GTmetrix, or similar tools
• Understanding of Core Web Vitals
• Experience working with CRO teams or doing A/B testing
• Other relevant coding skills.
