Purpose of the role

The Influencer Content Manager is responsible for supporting the Lead Strategist and Content Strategy Director in delivering innovative influencer marketing strategies for dentsu clients. This role will focus on developing creative campaign concepts that align with key KPIs through engaging content angles and messaging, executed by influencers. As a key player in the team, this position fosters collaboration both internally and externally with clients and partners, ensuring seamless execution and measurable results.

Key responsibilities

Campaign development and execution
  • Define and implement campaign vetting criteria, curate lookbooks with minimal oversight, and present foundational campaign ideas to clients.
  • Develop targeted channel recommendations tailored to each client’s goals and audience.
  • Conceptualise influencer-driven ideas grounded in insights, creative strategy, and data (audience demographics, cultural trends, etc.) to secure client buy-in.
  • Brainstorm and create innovative ways to cut through digital noise, maximizing the impact of campaigns and engaging key bloggers and online influencers.
  • Proactively optimise ongoing campaigns and forecast potential issues, communicating any concerns to the manager for swift resolution.
  • Ensure all strategies are creative, effective, and measurable, with clearly defined KPIs.
  • Take the lead in executing and managing influencer marketing campaigns from ideation to completion, ensuring quality and alignment with objectives.
Collaboration and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define KPIs and build comprehensive reports, summarizing campaign performance and results.
  • Develop and present campaign results with some oversight, highlighting key insights and recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Identify and respond to emerging risks and opportunities, providing strategic guidance as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of campaign-related award entries, including drafting scripts and content.
Creative and content strategy
  • Oversee content quality across all stages, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Provide constructive feedback on creative briefs, influencer content, and collaboration processes to enhance overall campaign performance.
  • Identify potential opportunities for content creation and strategy expansion for clients, proactively suggesting ideas in collaboration with senior team members.
Content review and copy editing responsibilities
  • Review influencer-generated content for accuracy, ensuring it is free from spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors.
  • Ensure the content maintains the correct tone, voice, and structure as per the campaign brief, brand guidelines, and creative direction.
  • Guarantee that all influencer content aligns with the campaign brief and meets the required standards for both text and creative submissions.
  • Ensure all content is consistent with the brand’s guidelines and expectations outlined in the playbook.
  • Provide copywriting support for various brands across multiple social channels, ensuring content resonates with the target audience.
Required skills and experience
  • Proven experience in influencer marketing, content strategy, or a related field.
  • Strong creative thinker with a data-driven approach to campaign development and optimization.
  • In-depth understanding of social media channels and influencer networks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and content review skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to sell creative ideas to clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred skills
  • Experience with influencer marketing tools and platforms.
  • Familiarity with digital analytics and campaign reporting.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in social media and digital marketing.
