Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lecture and assess contact learning students in the: 

  BEd (Foundation Phase Teaching) and the BEd (Intermediate Phase Teaching) programmes in the following module:

  Language Conversational Sign Language (LCSL152)



• Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials.

• Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules.

• Provide academic support to students.

• Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes.

• Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of                       management.

• Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs.

• Participate in and attend meetings and workshops.

• Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line              manager.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 3 years of teaching and /or lecturing experience in the relevant phase/disciplines.

• Must be in possession of a relevant teaching qualification.

• Knowledge and understanding of the subject matter

• Experience in online teaching and learning environments will be an advantage



Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor of Education Honours or equivalent qualification with relevant study in Deaf Studies or Deaf Education.
