Who are we: A business-to-business publishing house focusing on trade publications.
Who we are looking for: A talented and detail-oriented Editor with a strong background in the news industry who will be responsible for writing and editing b2b and trade articles.
What will you do:- Producing industry-specific, newsworthy content that meets audience needs
- Overseeing editorial processes and managing the team to ensure high-quality output
- Ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets
- Developing and implementing strategic initiatives and promotional activities
- Managing, planning and reporting on costs for freelancers
- Mentoring young journalists and fostering their professional development
- Networking with industry contacts by attending relevant functions and events
What will you need:- Proven experience managing news journalists and editing publications; B2B experience is essential
- Ability to find, write and edit lead stories for a niche sector
- Tertiary qualification in communications or journalism
- Familiarity with production processes (subbing, proofing, layout)
- Strong writing skills and creative expression in both writing and design
- Willingness to travel as needed
- A valid passport, driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle are mandatory
