A service centre based in Centurion is looking for a service advisor to join their team as soon as possible. Key responsibilities- Greet customers and assess their service needs.
- Schedule service appointments and manage the workflow in the workshop.
- Provide detailed explanations of required repairs and maintenance, including cost estimates.
- Liaise between customers and technicians to ensure smooth communication.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs.
- Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle and any delays.
- Ensure all service documentation, invoices, and payments are processed accurately.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally.
- Maintain knowledge of warranty coverage and dealership promotions.
- Assist in parts ordering and inventory management as needed.
Requirements- Experience: Previous experience as a service advisor or in an automotive customer service role.
- Technical knowledge: Understanding of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Customer service skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers in a clear manner.
- Organisational skills: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer skills: Proficiency in automotive service software and Microsoft Office.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (automotive certification is a plus).
- Driver’s licence: Valid driver’s licence required.
