Responsibilities:
- Providing quality leadership for internal and external customers in all assigned tasks while upholding the company’s values at all times, including constructive problem-solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others.
- Establishing an environment and foundation for future sales growth.
- Selling value and solutions to customers.
- Leading top-to-top meetings with key customers to ensure strong relationships, remove business obstacles, and align with the company’s long-term direction.
- Achieving monthly and annual set budgets.
- Showing initiative in analysing and improving business processes.
- Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market.
- Developing sales strategies and setting targets.
- Compiling and analysing sales figures.
- Keeping up to date with products and competitors.
- Maintaining and increasing standards of customer service.
- Establishing, maintaining, and expanding the customer base.
- Reaching the targets and goals set for the assigned area.
Qualifications and competencies required:
- Must have a matric certificate and a tertiary qualification.
- Sales experience in selling forklifts.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Computer literacy is essential, and Auto Line or Advantage experience is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of forklifts and experience in selling forklifts within an assigned sales territory.
- Proven oral, written, telephone, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Good business sense.
