Taxi Sales Consultant

Key tasks and responsibilities:
  • Prospect dealers, FNI’s, individuals, and organisations to partner with us as their preferred broker for taxi insurance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with dealers and FNI’s who agree to work with us regularly.
  • Gather client information from dealers and FNI’s.
  • Contact clients to provide quotes and sell taxi insurance, obtaining quotes from all our taxi insurance partners.
  • Communicate sales scripts effectively to persuade potential customers to purchase our products or services.
  • Explain products, services, and procedures, answer questions, and provide information to existing and potential clients.
  • Maintain and improve quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines, and recommend improved procedures.
  • Achieve sales and organisational goals by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Resolve basic and some complex client queries or problems, or redirect them to the relevant person, department, or manager.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the company’s products and guide customers through the sales process while obtaining their information.
  • Meet agreed KPIs (sales, green dealers, leads, etc.).
  • Attend team and business meetings daily or as required.
Educational requirements:
  • Matric or equivalent; a tertiary qualification is an advantage.
  • Regulatory examination (advantageous).
  • Class of Business and FAIS credits (advantageous).
Competencies/skills:
  • Task-oriented, results-focused, self-driven, with strong people skills and accountability.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette, strong negotiating and selling skills.
  • Multilingual, preferably with knowledge of vernacular languages.
  • High level of personal integrity and confidentiality.
  • Flexible and adaptive to different personalities and environments.
  • Ability to manage administrative duties, work under pressure, and handle stress.
  • Computer literate and disciplined.
