Construction ManagerA well-established construction company, based in Mossel Bay, is looking for a construction manager to join their team on a contract-basis. Key responsibilities:- Project planning: Develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and work programs.
- Team management: Oversee and coordinate the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Budget management: Manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Quality control: Ensure all construction work meets quality standards and complies with building codes and regulations.
- Safety management: Implement and monitor health and safety protocols on-site to ensure a safe working environment.
- Client liaison: Communicate regularly with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns.
- Problem-solving: Identify and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process.
- Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and present them to senior management or clients.
Qualifications:- Degree/diploma in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in managing construction projects.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office.
Skills:- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
Experience:- Minimum of three years of experience in a construction management role.
- Experience within building industry
