MICT SETA and VUT unite to strengthen South Africa's 4IR research capacity
The Media Information Communication and Technologies Sector Education Training Authority (MICT SETA) and the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) are are set to host the inaugural 4IR Research Symposium and Expo, marking a pivotal moment for South Africa's fourth industrial revolution (4IR) research landscape. Closure and the relocation of the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) Secunda Campus
The Secunda Campus of the Vaal University of Technology is situated approximately 150km from Johannesburg and Pretoria and 180km from Vanderbijlpark. A bright future awaits VUT graduates
Joy and pride could be seen on the faces of parents and family members as they celebrated the virtual graduation ceremony while their children collected their hard-earned certificates during the two weeks period that commenced on Monday, 7 June 2021, until Friday, 18 June 2021, at the VUT Isak Steyl Sport Stadium. Closure and the relocation of the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) Upington Campus
The Upington Campus of the VUT was established in 1995 to provide quality tertiary education that is affordable and accessible to the rural communities of the Northern Cape province. University of Johannesburg's multi-partner 'Mahlale Innovation Consortium' opens ventilator design competition for SA students

Dr Christina Johanna Grobler, fondly known as Christa, has been appointed by Dr Zweli Mkhize, Minister of Health, to serve as a member of the Professional Board for Medical Technology for a period of five years from 1 November 2020. VUT establishes new law clinic
The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for the county as well as for institutions of higher learning. But in spite of all this turmoil, the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) has succeeded in implementing an uplifting and exciting initiative - a law clinic situated at the VUT Southern Gauteng Science and Technology Park (VUT SGSTP) in Sebokeng. With the VUT SGSTP situated in the Sebokeng Area, to serve our indigent community members; the Project Coordinators (Mr Frans Fouche: Lecturer; Ms Lilian Ndimande: Lecturer and Mrs Anusha Nana: Lecturer) decided on the Sebokeng area because VUT already has the facilities and infrastructure available which they need. Furthermore, the Law Clinic is close to service centres like the Sebokeng Court, Hospital and SAPS. The Project Coordinators are grateful to the Director of the VUT SGSTP, Mr Heindrich Van Der Merwe who went out of his way to secure office space for the VUT Law Clinic at the VUT SGSTP.
