Marius Cronje, AfriGIS’s CIO then applied Spatial Strategies by addressing the IT Architecture which includes the budget versus the objectives, i.e. asking the Right questions as to what the minimum requirement is in producing quality service improvement in any IT related organisation. He also gave a breakdown of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework guidelines, the links between lifecycle stages, the processes used and their contribution to service management practices.
Petre Agenbag, concluded the workshop with a GIS/Location Based case study to illustrate risk mitigation versus budget to clearly understand the solution required in developing options that enhance opportunities and reduce threats to your business objectives. “Embrace diversity – opportunities exist in all the options to reduce effort and cost.
