The North Coast Courier is looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced senior journalist for the leading community newspaper in Ballito.

Applicants should have a demonstrated knowledge of the newsroom and be able to quickly produce relevant and informed articles for both our online publication and our weekly newspaper.

Our journalists must have a good news sense, be able to build and maintain a working contact base, contribute innovative story ideas and have a passion for uncovering stories that matter.

Requirements:

• A technikon diploma in journalism is an advantage.
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to take good photographs imperative.
• We particularly value accuracy, versatility, and the ability to write concisely and clearly. You must be computer literate.
• The successful applicant must be able to adapt writing for print, online and social media platforms as well as be comfortable to use video. 
• Own transport and valid driver's licence.
