Junior Accountant

Responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Maintain accounts receivable and issue invoices.
- Maintain accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
- Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, and weekly float reconciliations as assigned.
- Update financial records via accounting software.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
- Assist in preparing Annual Financial Statements in compliance with legal and company guidelines.
- Support the BEE verification process.
- Prepare monthly VAT and EMP submissions.
- Assist with other accounting projects as required.
- Qualifications: B.Com in accounting or general accounting.
- Completion of SAICA or SAIPA articles.
- Proven experience as a junior accountant.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Familiarity with tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical acumen with a good understanding of numbers and figures.
- Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and relevant accounting software.
- Proficiency in Pastel Payroll and Sage Cloud Accounting.
- Skilled in using SARS eFiling and SARS easyFile.
