Job overview:
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Designer / DTP Operator to join our design team. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day design tasks, which include setting up designs, layouts, packaging, building presentations and decks, and ensuring everything is aligned with Sneaker LAB's brand standards. This is a hands-on role, perfect for a "doer" who is eager to grow and learn, with an excellent eye for detail and a focus on the quality of every design output.
Key responsibilities:
- Day-to-Day design work: Assist with daily design tasks, including creating, editing, and refining digital and print materials for marketing campaigns, product presentations, and social media content.
- Technical setup and layout: Prepare and set up materials for print and digital use, ensuring files are correctly formatted, and designs meet production specifications. Focus on the technical aspects of design, such as file setup, proofing, and finalising artwork.
- Building presentations and decks: Support the team by designing engaging presentations and pitch decks that reflect the brand’s values and objectives.
- Attention to detail: Oversee spelling, grammar, and visual consistency in all materials. Ensure that every design detail aligns with Sneaker LAB’s brand guidelines, maintaining accuracy across all formats, including social media, LinkedIn, and print.
- Rollout support: Assist in the rollout of design assets across various platforms, ensuring consistency in branding and design across multiple channels and markets.
- Creative collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to ensure that all design work meets expectations, specifications, and deadlines.
- File management and archiving: Organize and maintain design files for easy access and future use.
- Packaging design support: Assist in the development of packaging designs for products, ensuring they meet brand guidelines, are visually appealing, and align with product specifications.
- Collaborative projects: Work with external partners, vendors, and other departments to support the design of co-branded or collaborative packaging and marketing materials.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A degree or relevant certification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to both creative and technical aspects of design.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for consistency and quality.
- Experience in preparing files for print, digital formats, and social media.
- Excellent skills in building presentations, decks, and creative assets for a variety of platforms.
- A strong understanding of design principles, layout, typography, and colour theory.
- Basic knowledge of social media trends is a plus.
- Familiarity with proofreading and maintaining brand consistency across materials.
