New opportunity: Senior DevOps Engineer at an on-demand delivery and digital tech shop in South Africa, owned by a leading retail group. The role involves deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations to meet customer needs. You will collaborate with a top team of developers and engineers, ensuring software development aligns with established processes and performs as intended.

Requirements:

• Tertiary IT qualification
• Certified Azure Developer certification (preferable)
• At least five years’ experience as a DevOps engineer and an additional five years in an SRE or similar technical role
• Proficiency in development, testing, and automation tools
• Skilled in GitHub, Kubernetes, Docker
• Understanding of IT infrastructure (Azure or AWS)
• Process management expertise, including optimising DevOps operations
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with C# .NET stack is beneficial
• Team player with attention to detail, the ability to offer direction, and say no when necessary
• SLA management skills

Position details:

• Permanent hybrid role based in Cape Town
• Cost-to-company salary: R1.08 million per annum (negotiable based on experience)
