Family Law Attorney

We are seeking an experienced family law attorney with 4-5 years of experience to join our client's team in Cape Town, Western Cape. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in family law, conveyancing, and commercial law, who is also ready to take on leadership responsibilities in managing a new branch.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal services in family law, including divorce, custody, maintenance, etc.
• Handle conveyancing and commercial law matters as required
• Lead and manage a new branch, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery
• Engage in negotiations and dispute resolution to secure the best outcomes for clients
• Advise clients on a range of legal matters, ensuring clarity and understanding
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and effective work environment
• Build and maintain client relationships to ensure long-term business success
• Ensure compliance with legal procedures and industry regulations

Requirements:

• LLB degree (or equivalent) and relevant legal qualifications
• Admitted attorney in South Africa with 4-5 years of experience in family law (additional experience in conveyancing and commercial law is advantageous)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal issues for clients
• Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing teams and operations
• Strong problem-solving skills and a client-focused approach
• Highly organised and able to manage a busy caseload with efficiency and attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

• Experience managing a branch or legal office
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• A proactive and adaptable attitude, with a strong desire to grow and develop in the role
