Another opportunity has opened up at Pyrotec Cape Town. Pyrotec is a privately-owned South African company that specialises in providing innovative and top-quality product identification solutions. The company’s extensive service offerings include on-pack product identification solutions including self-adhesive label systems, coding and labelling equipment and self-adhesive products suitable for businesses and homes.

The PackMark brand is our machinery division that offers a comprehensive range of labelling, coding and print & apply labelling equipment. We exclusively supply the very latest hardware from international industry leaders Markem-Imaje, A.L.Tech and Harland Machine Systems as well as a selection of other brands.

We are currently looking for an Artisan Aid to provide onsite support to our customers. The successful candidate will be based at the customers site in order to ensure our machines are operating at optimal efficiency and to maintain these machines. It is important to note, this role is not an apprenticeship and there is no guarantee is could/would lead to an apprenticeship. Despite this, the successful candidate will gain extensive practical and technical experience.

We are therefore looking for an ambitious individual who enjoys challenges, is able to fault find and is eager to learn more about engineering and moreso, different industry printers.

Requirements:            

• Matric
• Computer literate
• Technical abilities / technical background
• Practical experience – engineering (ideal, not compulsory)
• Own reliable transport

Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, successful candidates will be required to adhere to a drug-free workplace policy, which includes mandatory pre-employment and random/monthly drug testing.

Duties:

• Assisting with the servicing and maintenance and installations of labelling and coding machinery
• Fault finding
• Assisting in our Pyrotec Cape Town workshop
• Executing technical functions
• Manufacturing and repairing
