The digital marketing specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, tracking, and optimising digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels. This role requires a highly skilled individual to manage multiple aspects of digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and analytics.
Key responsibilities
Strategy and planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to meet business objectives
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategies
- Set and track digital marketing KPIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive efforts
- Integrate and optimise digital and social channels effectively
- Perform keyword research and optimise website content for better search engine rankings
- Monitor SEO performance, implementing on-page and off-page SEO best practices
- Plan and manage PPC campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and social media
- Conduct keyword research and manage bids to maximise ROI
- Optimise ad copy and landing pages for higher conversion rates
- Develop and manage high-quality content for blogs, websites, emails, and social media
- Create content calendars and ensure timely publication, collaborating with content creators to produce engaging multimedia
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement
- Manage and grow the company’s social media presence, analysing performance and adjusting strategies as needed
- Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, segment email lists, and personalise content
- Optimise email campaigns for engagement, ensuring compliance with best practices
- Use web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to measure digital marketing effectiveness
- Prepare reports on campaign performance and analyse data to inform strategy improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
- Five or more years of experience in digital marketing with a proven track record in managing campaigns
- Strong knowledge of SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and web analytics
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO tools, social media management)
- Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to fast-paced environments
- Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and execute effective digital marketing strategies
- Analytical skills: Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making
- Technical proficiency: Knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms
- Creativity: Ability to generate innovative ideas
- Project management: Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for website edits and email templates
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo)
Standard office hours with occasional evening or weekend work to meet deadlines. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
