Social media strategy development
- Define and lead Gorilla’s overarching social media strategy, ensuring alignment with client goals and emerging trends.
- Drive innovation in social media content and campaign strategies to elevate client brands across platforms.
- Develop audience-first strategies that blend creative storytelling, data-driven insights and emerging trends.
- Oversee the management of all social media platforms for clients, including scheduling, community engagement, and performance monitoring.
- Implement reporting systems that allow for KPI tracking, and translate platform metrics into actionable insights, highlighting campaign successes and areas for optimization.
- Stay current with platform updates, algorithm changes, and new functionalities to ensure strategies remain effective and cutting-edge.
- Collaborate with creative teams to produce platform-specific, engaging content that resonates with audiences.
- Experiment with innovative formats to push creative boundaries.
- Act as a strategic advisor, providing clients with expert guidance on social media trends and opportunities.
- Build trusted partnerships by delivering results-driven strategies and transparent communication.
- Inspire, mentor, and manage a team of social media professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Drive professional development by setting clear objectives and offering ongoing training in tools and techniques.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and identify opportunities to adopt new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Share actionable insights and learnings with internal teams and clients to ensure a competitive edge.
- Represent the agency at key industry events, conferences, and forums, building its reputation as a leader in social media strategy.
- Publish thought leadership pieces to showcase the agency’s expertise and vision.
- Oversee social media budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation to maximise campaign ROI.
- Prioritise workloads effectively to balance team capacity with client needs and deadlines.
- Experience:
8+ years in social media strategy with proven leadership experience in an agency or related environment. - Expertise: Advanced knowledge of major platforms and emerging technologies.
- Data-Driven: Proficiency in analytics tools and a strong ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Strong Leadership:
A proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams. - Creative Vision:
A passion for innovative content and storytelling that pushes boundaries. - Client Management: Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to align strategies with client goals.
- Communication: Strong presentation and persuasion skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly to diverse audience
