Warehouse Supervisor

Our client in the hardware / buildware industry is seeking a supply chain controller to join their warehouse team in East London.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the hardware/buildware industry (non-negotiable)
• Proven experience as a supply chain controller/stock controller or warehouse supervisor
• Contactable references
• Clear criminal record

Responsibilities:

• Ensure stock accuracy through regular stock takes
• Investigate and resolve stock problems or inaccuracies
• Adjust stock levels where necessary to correct inaccuracies
• Assist with homeware stock requests from other branches
• Ensure stock areas are labelled, packed, and accessible
• Change stock pricing as required
• Control damaged store stock
• Check store dispatches and ensure correct documentation is sent and signed for
• Oversee all administrative processes (IBT/GRV)
• Route deliveries if needed
• Oversee warehouse staff
• Maintain optimal stock levels
• Ensure stock availability when required
• Optimise the logistical supply chain to minimise delivery periods, costs, and unplanned purchases
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and maintain a controlled environment
• Monitor and manage FIFO on raw materials and ageing stock
• Advise on foreseeable shortages to ensure timely stock replenishment
• Ensure all documentation is signed, stamped, and filed correctly

Salary: R10,000 - R12,000
