As our Editor and Videographer, you’ll be hands on in shaping the stories we tell, from concept to final cut. You’ll shoot, edit and craft high quality video content designed to land across campaigns, platforms and industries. This role calls for a sharp creative eye, technical skill and strategic thinking. You’ll work closely with the creative and client teams to bring ideas to life and deliver work that connects, engages and delivers results.
To be considered, you’ll need to share a strong portfolio that showcases your versatility, from branded content to social edits, across diverse formats and industries.
Key responsibilities:Concept development and pre-production- Collaborate with creative directors, strategists, copywriters and clients to interpret briefs and develop strong visual storytelling concepts.
- Create mood boards, storyboards, shot lists and production schedules.
- Plan shoots, scout locations and manage casting, equipment and crew requirements.
- Participate in creative brainstorms and pitch sessions.
Videography (production)- Lead shoots, ensuring high-quality video capture aligned with brand and campaign goals.
- Operate a variety of professional video, lighting and sound equipment.
- Direct talent, clients and crew on set to achieve the desired creative outcomes.
- Ensure consistent framing, lighting, audio and technical precision across projects.
- Oversee production logistics.
- Hands-on experience with various camera systems (Sony, Canon, RED, Blackmagic, etc.).
- Ability to create content for 360° campaigns including social, digital, TV, internal comms and experiential.
Editing and post-production- Manage end-to-end editing workflows, from ingest to final delivery.
- Edit content for a variety of formats including digital campaigns, social media, corporate communications, branded content, animations and more.
- Colour grade footage to ensure visual consistency and elevate the creative output.
- Handle sound design, audio mixing and syncing to ensure broadcast quality.
- Incorporate motion graphics, animation, text overlays and VFX when required.
- Stay updated with trends in editing styles, platform specs and new technology.
Cross-platform content production- Produce content tailored for platforms including (but not limited to) YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, TV broadcast and web.
- Ensure outputs meet each platform’s technical specifications and audience consumption behaviours.
- Work on adaptations, cutdowns and localisations for campaigns running in multiple regions or markets.
Team collaboration and leadership- Collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, project managers, digital marketers and client service teams.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior editors, camera operators and freelancers.
- Manage post-production resources, including external suppliers and production partners when required.
- Review and quality check all final outputs for accuracy, brand alignment and production value.
Client interaction and relationship building- Attend client meetings, pre-production briefings and post-production reviews.
- Provide expert recommendations on production methods, costs and efficiencies.
- Act as the agency’s video content expert, guiding clients on the latest trends and best practices.
Requirements:- Diploma or Degree in Film, Media Production, Multimedia or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a creative agency, production house or media environment.
- Strong storytelling ability with an editorial eye and creative flair.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects), DaVinci Resolve and other post-production tools.
- In-depth knowledge of production and post-production processes, workflows and asset management.
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse video work across formats and industries.
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel for shoots when required.
Desirable skills and extras:- Drone operation (with valid licence)
- Photography and stills retouching capability
- Motion graphics and animation skills (Adobe After Effects proficiency essential)
- Scriptwriting and copy editing
- Live streaming production experience
- Voice-over direction and audio post-production knowledge
- Experience working on large integrated marketing campaigns or for blue-chip brands
- Familiarity with DAM (Digital Asset Management) systems and content libraries
