Job description
BackgroundSTADIO is a multi-campus higher education institution with a national footprint, as well as hosting several student support centres in South Africa and Namibia. Key Roles and Responsibilities:
o Take accountability for the compliant implementation of the student administration and support requirements of all STADIO Student Support policies and SOPs on the campus, as instructed by the Campus Registrar.
o Train and support the SAS Administrators on the campus and understand the specific requirements of every School on the campus.
o Responsible for the management of SAS support functions on the campus including Registration and Graduation.
o Draft and maintain campus-specific procedures, as required by the individual Schools and institutional policies in collaboration with the CR.
o Manage Q-desk and on-campus support queries for the SAS team. Analyze queries, complaints, and support request data, relating to the campus, in order to improve the student experience on the campus.
o Deal with student grievances relevant to the campus and contribute to fair resolution.
o Manage student disciplinary matters that are campus related with the CR and HOC in an efficient, fair and compliant manner.
o Manage the administration of Special Concession (C4SS) administration process.
o Manage Special Request/ Special concessions Applications
o Set clear and specific performance expectations, in collaboration with the CR, by providing formal and informal feedback sessions.
o Institute performance improvement plans where necessary.
o Hold regular planning, training & review meetings.
o Member of the CR School committee and will be expected to
o participate and contribute to this forum (run by school CR’s).
o Is a member of the School Academic Committee (SAC).
o Drive business process optimization
o Contribute to the review and improvement of relevant centralized policies and procedures on campus.
o Provide data, analysis and information pertaining to the campus in support of planning and decision-making at all levels, when required.
Minimum Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a higher education institution
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Experience and competency in word processing and spreadsheets.
- Experience in the use of STADIO’s Student Information Management System (SIMS) or equivalent.
- This position requires an individual who can pay close attention to detail and can work independently and accurately under pressure. Should also have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications Requirements
- Grade 12
- Post matric qualification is advantageous
