As Vicinity Media’s Marketing Coordinator you are responsible for supporting the marketing manager and wider marketing team with compiling briefs, organising events, sourcing quotes, ordering marketing swag, developing and implementing content plans,  managing the company’s digital marketing and social media platforms and reporting on its performance. 

This role involves a high level of expertise in various digital marketing channels and tools, including social media platforms, email marketing, and more. You will work closely with the marketing manager and other stakeholders to ensure the brand's presence is aligned with its overall goals and objectives.


We are looking for a positive, hardworking, organised, passionate individual who is willing to learn and grow, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to follow instructions and take direction from the marketing manager. They need to work closely with other departments and members of the marketing team. They should be willing to roll-up their sleeves and help the team with anything and everything as and when required.

Responsibilities:

• Support the marketing manager with executing the marketing strategy. This includes but is not limited to:

• Sales support: assist with briefing the team on sales material/support requirements and engage with the sales team regarding their marketing requirements.
• Relationship building: assist with organising events/activations/roadshows. This includes sourcing venues organising catering, ordering and setting up branding and presentations, managing rsvps and helping on the day of the event. 
• Branding: assist with sourcing and ordering brand material and promotional items, which includes liaising with suppliers, sourcing quotes and arranging delivery of material.
• Product releases: assist the marketing manager with sourcing data for product releases, case studies, white papers etc. Assist with the product release process that involves various stakeholders.
• Meeting support: set up meetings, take minutes as and when required, set up daily meetings with marketing manager and prepare items for discussion prior to meeting.
• Traffic management: assist with briefing designers and managing their workload as and when required.
• Public Relations: assist with sending content/liaising with the media. Identify podcast, speaker and sponsorship opportunities.
• Team management: assist with organising brainstorms and team building events as well as onboarding new team members. 
• Manage all digital marketing platforms:
• Assist with the development and implementation of digital marketing content plans, campaigns, including email, social media, and website content.
• Manage email communication: create, test and distribute emailers. Manage mailing lists - update mailing lists on a regular basis.
• Create and publish Google forms for client communication.
• Assist with managing and updating the company website.
• Manage Bizcommunity platform: liaise with Bizcomm to upload content. Brief in banners for articles as and when required.
• Compile monthly reports which will include social media, Bizcomm, website and emailer performance.
• Support the development of marketing materials, such as case studies, presentations, and sales collateral.
• Help manage our online presence across multiple channels. 
• Create, manage, and optimise paid advertising campaigns across a range of platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and share insights with the team.

Requirements:

• Marketing degree.
• 2-3 year’s marketing experience.
• This is a full-time office-based position in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
• Own transport.
• Internal communication experience advantageous 

Skills:

• Proficient in using Google Suite: Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides.
• Comfortable with using traffic management tools (i.e Asana).
• Proficient in using Power Point.
• Proficient in using Everlytic.
• Proficient in using Google Analytics and all social media reporting platforms and tools.
• Proficient in setting up Google forms.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
