      Marketing Coordinator

      Job overview:

      Marketing coordinator assist with the day-to-day operations of our marketing initiatives. This role will involve creating social media content for TV shows, writing engaging captions, managing social media posting schedules, analysing performance data, coordinating and executing marketing campaigns and events. The ideal candidate must be very good at writing in Zulu, Sotho and English, must be passionate about digital marketing and have a keen eye for detail, and enjoys using data to drive strategy.

      Tasks and activities

      Day-to-day marketing operations 
      • Assist in the coordination and execution of marketing activities, ensuring smooth operations across various channels and projects.
      • Track and report on marketing KPIs and metrics, providing insights to senior team members to improve performance.
      • Manage marketing calendars, ensuring deadlines and project timelines are met.

      Social media content and strategy 
      • Create, schedule, and post engaging content across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Youtube).
      • Write creative and compelling captions that align with the brand’s voice and engage the target audience.
      • Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement, and user-generated content to incorporate into strategy.
      • Maintain a consistent posting schedule to ensure content is timely and relevant.

      Social media analytics and reporting 
      • Analyse social media performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.) to track engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
      • Prepare and present regular performance reports, offering insights and recommendations to optimize future content and campaigns.
      • Monitor competitors' social media activities and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

      Event management 
      • Assist in the planning and coordination of marketing events, including virtual events, webinars, and in-person conferences.
      • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure event logistics are managed smoothly.
      • Help with event promotion, including the creation of event materials and post-event follow-ups to engage attendees.

      Campaign execution and support 
      • Support in executing digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email marketing, paid ads, and promotions.
      • Assist with creating promotional content, including graphics, email newsletters, and landing pages.
      • Ensure all campaigns are on track and deadlines are met.
      • Assists with marketing projects

      Collaboration and communication 
      • Work closely with the Production team and Agencies to ensure all campaigns and projects are aligned with the company’s objectives and brand guidelines.
      • Coordinate with other departments (sales, design, product, etc.) to ensure marketing efforts are integrated and cohesive.
      • Provide regular updates to the Marketing Manager on project status, analytics, and campaign performance.

      Job requirements

      Education and experience
      • Diploma or equivalent in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
      • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or related roles
      • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation
      • Experience with basic marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Hootsuite, etc.) and performance tracking

      Skills and knowledge 
      • Basic understanding of digital marketing, social media strategies, and SEO
      • Computer literacy
      • Understanding of administrative processes and procedures
      • Excellent writing and reading skills in English, Zulu and Sesotho with the ability to craft engaging and on-brand captions and social media posts
      • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
      • Ability to analyse data and derive actionable insights to improve social media engagement and campaign performance
      • Detail orientated
      • Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset
      • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
      • Passion for digital marketing and staying up to date with social media trends
      • Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude
