Our client is seeking a cloud engineer with expertise in AWS and GCP to join their team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable platform infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of applications and services.

Requirements

• Education and experience:
  • Degree or equivalent, with two to four years of relevant experience (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Certifications in Google, AWS, or Azure beneficial
  • One to three years of experience in systems engineering or administration, virtualisation platforms, and hyperscalers (GCP or AWS)
  • Foundational knowledge of Python, Golang, or NodeJS is advantageous
  • Proficient in bash scripting
  • Proficient in Linux and Windows system administration

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation: Develop and implement scalable, reliable, and secure platform infrastructure using modern technologies and best practices
• Cloud infrastructure: Manage and optimise cloud environments (AWS, GCP) for high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency
• Infrastructure as code: Automate resource provisioning and management with tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
• CI/CD pipelines: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Monitoring and logging: Set up and maintain monitoring and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure platform health and performance
• Security: Implement security best practices to protect infrastructure and applications, including identity and access management, encryption, and regulatory compliance
