      to free up time for our clients which they in turn can utilize to their highest value.

      Our roots have always been in digital creative and we have been remote servicing clients in

      Europe while being based in Cape Town for over two decades. Since our pivot just two years

      ago to becoming a B2B SAAS company offering creative performance at scale we have

      rapidly grown our portfolio of international enterprise clients. Today we are the largest performance production specialist with its own SAAS model in Switzerland.

      The role 

      Are you a visionary creative leader with a proven track record in conceptualizing, producing, and optimizing high-performance creative campaigns? Do you have the skills to craft strategic story-driven campaigns that drive results across awareness, consideration, and conversion stages? If you're not just a creative, but a master of campaign performance and brand storytelling, we want you on our team!

      The Factory is seeking a Director of Creative Performance to join our elite creative production powerhouse. This is not a role for beginners or mid-level creatives—we want a senior expert with extensive experience in conceptual design, animation, and performance marketing. The successful candidate will take charge of performance-driven campaign creation for an exclusive portfolio of European clients.

      About The Role As the Director of Creative Performance, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing high-conversion creative campaigns that span social media, display ads, digital banners, and more. From the first concept to final animated asset delivery, you’ll lead the entire creative production process. This role is hands-on and strategic, demanding a creative powerhouse who can deliver exceptional performance outcomes.

      You will act as a strategic creative leader, working with production teams, designers, and animators to ensure that every campaign exceeds its performance goals. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll play a critical role in The Factory’s mission to simplify creative production at scale.

      This role is 100% focused on European clients, meaning you'll have the opportunity to create powerful campaigns for some of the most prominent brands across Europe. If you have a deep understanding of performance marketing, campaign design, and brand building, and you can think big while still executing on the smallest details, this is your chance to make an impact.

      Key responsibilities

      Campaign conceptualisation and ideation
      • Lead the creation of campaign concepts from idea to execution, ensuring alignment with client goals and sales funnel strategies.
      • Own the creative process for multi-channel campaigns (social, digital display, performance media) tailored for each stage of the customer journey.
      • Use deep knowledge of sales funnels (Awareness, Consideration, and Conversion) to create creative that not only looks good but performs brilliantly.
      • Craft and present storyboards to visualize campaign narratives and communicate ideas to key stakeholders.
      Creative production and execution
      • Design and produce multi-channel creative campaigns that include static banners, dynamic creatives, animations, and motion graphics.
      • Oversee and lead the production of assets from storyboard to final animation, ensuring brand consistency and performance-driven design.
      • Manage the creative production pipeline, ensuring that the right mix of speed, quality, and creativity is achieved.
      • Own the master production files and ensure adaptation of creative into multiple formats, platforms, and sizes (e.g., display, mobile, social media, web).
      Performance marketing leadership
      • Data-driven creative optimisation: Analyze CTR, ROAS, and conversion data to refine campaign concepts and asset performance.
      • Work with performance marketers to ensure creative aligns with campaign KPIs.
      • Ensure the best ad formats and designs are being used for Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and display platforms.
      • Leverage insights from performance data to continuously improve creative execution and increase conversions.
      Team leadership and collaboration
      • Serve as a creative mentor and leader for internal and external design teams, offering guidance and oversight on campaigns.
      • Partner with production managers and performance marketing teams to ensure campaign deadlines are met.
      • Communicate design rationale and performance data to stakeholders and clients, ensuring full transparency.
      • Provide creative oversight on all assets being produced by junior designers, freelancers, and third-party production teams.
      Creative process and workflow optimisation
      • Champion The Factory’s “Single Source of Truth” production philosophy, ensuring seamless workflows and efficient creative production.
      • Lead and optimize the production process, leveraging our own software PrePublisher
      • Collaborate with production teams to simplify creative production at scale, ensuring quick turnaround times for large campaign rollouts.
      Essential skills 

      This is a role for an experienced leader—beginners and mid-level candidates will not be considered. We are looking for someone with the following key competencies:

      Conceptualisation and creative strategy
      • Conceptual Design Mastery: Ability to conceptualize and design creative ideas that convert, not just "look good."
      • Sales Funnel Thinking: Mastery of the Awareness, Consideration, and Conversion stages of the customer journey, with the ability to create strategic creative tailored to each stage.
      • Storyboarding Expertise: Ability to map out complete campaign narratives using storyboards, illustrating the step-by-step flow of a campaign's visual story.
      Creative production and execution
      • Animation & Motion Design: Hands-on ability to create dynamic animated assets that captivate and convert audiences.
      • Multi-Format Asset Adaptation: Mastery in taking one creative concept and scaling it across multiple formats, including static, animated, and dynamic creative.
      • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) with advanced knowledge of motion design.
      • Hands-On Production: Ability to produce high-quality creative independently and oversee the production of creatives at scale.
      Performance marketing expertise
      • Campaign Analytics: Knowledge of key metrics like CTR, ROAS, and conversion rates and the ability to inform creative decisions with data-driven insights.
      • Platform-Specific Design: Expertise in creating platform-specific assets for Facebook, Google, Instagram, and Display Networks, with knowledge of ad formats, sizes, and platform best practices.
      • Data-Driven Approach: Capacity to evaluate campaign performance, make creative optimizations, and increase conversions.
      Brand leadership and communication
      • Brand Builder: Ability to maintain and protect brand identity across all creative assets, while also enhancing brand recognition and driving brand loyalty.
      • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with performance marketers, sales teams, and production teams to ensure alignment on goals and deadlines.
      • Client-Facing Skills: Strong ability to present creative ideas and production workflows to clients and stakeholders.
      General requirements
      1. 10+ years of experience as a Creative Lead, Senior Art Director, or Performance Art Director with a focus on digital campaigns and performance marketing.
      2. Proven experience delivering campaigns that drive tangible performance outcomes (CTR, ROAS, conversions).
      3. Super Strong portfolio that shows a range of creative concepts, brand storytelling, and performance-driven campaigns.
      4. Solid experience producing multi-channel campaigns that scale across multiple European markets.
      5. Strong leadership experience, with the ability to guide teams of designers, freelancers, and production managers.
