HR/Payroll Intern

Highbury Media T/A Habari Media is a media powerhouse,whose world-class titles connect brands to targeted audiences. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Intern with strong excel skills to join our HR team and play a key role in assisting with the accuracy and integrity of capturing payroll data. Your strong Excel skills and meticulous attention to detail will be essential as you identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and ensure that financial records are in perfect alignment.

Key duties

• Assist with processing wages/ commission
• Assist with reconciling weekly payroll to cashbook (Excel)
• Assist with reconciling Emoluments, staff loans, parking and medical aid (Excel)
• Identify and investigate discrepancies in payroll records (Excel)
• Assist with generating detailed reconciliation reports (Excel)
• Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance reconciliation efficiency

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Trustworthy, honest and reliable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
