      Social Media Manager

      We are looking for a dynamic social media manager to join the Orms marketing team.

      The ideal candidate must have a passion for all things social, thrive on engagement and interaction with a growing social community, and love bringing new and exciting content ideas to life.

      This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across all three of the Orms brands – Orms, Orms Print Room and Framing, and the Orms Cape Town School of Photography – offering creativity and diversity in an ever-changing, fast-paced retail environment.

      What we expect from you

      • Passion for social media – your enthusiasm for digital platforms should be infectious. We need someone who lives and breathes social media, understands the nuances of different channels, and can craft compelling narratives that resonate with our audiences.
      • Brand voice ambassador – you’ll be the maestro of our brand’s online persona. From crafting engaging content to managing our social media accounts, you’ll ensure every post, tweet, and update is in harmony with our brand’s voice and vision.
      • Strategic mindset – collaborate with our marketing team to enhance and execute a cohesive brand strategy. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our social content not only sparkles with creativity but also aligns seamlessly with our overall marketing objectives.
      • Budget and analytics wizardry – bring your A-game in managing budgets for paid media campaigns and wow us with your analytical prowess. This includes regular, detailed reports on the performance of our content channels and the ROI of our social media investments.

      Responsibilities

      • Managing the growth strategy for the Orms social platforms.
      • Working closely with our junior social coordinator and the greater marketing team to conceptualise and produce YouTube, social content, and Instagram reels.
      • Working closely with the marketing manager and the broader marketing team on campaigns from conception to implementation.
      • Tracking and analysing overall social, content, and paid performance, and compiling monthly reports with key insights and strategic recommendations.
      • Staying up to date with the latest social trends, innovations, and developments, and bringing new ideas to the table for our platforms.
      • Helping to deliver a consistent brand experience across all platforms and proactively increasing growth, engagement, and social traffic.
      • Making recommendations on the most impactful and cost-effective assets for digital platforms.
      • Maintaining relationships with collaborators and highlighting new opportunities for collaboration within our social communities.
      • Managing all social budgets and implementing all paid and organic social campaigns.

      Our ideal candidate has

      • A good working knowledge of Facebook Business Manager, as well as experience with X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube in a business capacity.
      • At least two years’ experience working in a social-focused role.
      • A proven track record of growing and retaining social audiences.
      • Proven paid social experience – specifically optimising ROI, lead generation, and audience retargeting.
      • A passion for photography, content creation, and curation.
      • Strong creative writing skills.
      • Excellent spoken and written English.
      • A hardworking, determined, and can-do attitude.
      • Advantageous: experience within a retail environment on a social level.

      Additional job info

      • Working hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
      • This position is based at Roeland Square, Gardens (non-remote).
