Junior Colourist and Online Video Editor

We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Colourist and Online Video Editor to join our busy production team. If you have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of colour grading, and a passion for storytelling, we want to hear from you!  

Role overview:  

As a Junior Colourist and Online Video Editor, you will play a key role in defining the mood and visual style of our films and video projects. Working closely with directors and directors of photography, you will help craft the colour palette—whether restrained, hyper-coloured, milky, or primary—to bring their creative vision to life. Your expertise in adjusting luminance levels (brightness) and chroma (colour) will ensure the final product is visually stunning and broadcast-ready.  

Key responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with directors and directors of photography to establish the visual tone and colour palette for each project.  
• Use colour grading software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve) to enhance the storytelling through precise adjustments in colour and tone.  
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines and self-scheduling your time effectively.  
• Work diligently through client revisions, ensuring all feedback is incorporated seamlessly.  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and software developments in colour grading and video editing.  
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail, even under pressure, to deliver polished and professional results.

Requirements: 

• 1+ year of experience as a Colourist and Online Video Editor. 
• Diploma or degree in film, video, media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).  
• Proficiency in colour grading software, particularly DaVinci Resolve.  
• Strong understanding of colour theory and its psychological impact on storytelling.  
• Knowledge of digital and film processes, including working with raw camera footage.  
• Familiarity with the film and TV production process.  
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with directors, DOPs, and other team members.  
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.  
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new editing techniques and industry trends.  

Nice-to-have:

• A creative and artistic mindset with a passion for visual storytelling.  
• Experience in online video editing and post-production workflows.  
• A portfolio or showreel showcasing your colour grading and editing work.
