Job summary

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in driving the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, improving audience engagement, and optimising digital marketing efforts. You will be responsible for executing marketing initiatives, analysing data to improve campaign performance, and collaborating with multiple teams to enhance Moneyweb’s online presence and subscription growth.

Key responsibilities

• Marketing campaign execution
  • Develop, manage, and optimise marketing campaigns across digital platforms (Google Ads, social media, newsletters).
  • Implement A/B testing strategies to enhance campaign performance and engagement.
  • Create and manage email marketing campaigns (e.g., via Mailchimp) and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Plan and execute paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other relevant platforms.
  • Monitor and optimise ad spend, ensuring maximum return on investment (ROI).
  • Collaborate with designers and copywriters to create engaging ad creatives.
• SEO and content optimisation
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to increase website traffic and visibility.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure content aligns with audience engagement strategies.
• Analytics and reporting
  • Monitor and analyse marketing performance using Google Analytics and other tracking tools.
  • Generate reports on campaign effectiveness, audience insights, and subscription trends.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve marketing strategies.
• Collaboration and strategy development
  • Work closely with the graphic designer and marketing coordinator to develop high-quality marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with the development team to optimise marketing-related website features, landing pages, and subscription funnels.
  • Align marketing efforts with the editorial team to promote high-value articles, podcasts, and exclusive events.
  • Work with the sales department to improve sold campaign performance and exposure, ensuring that sponsored content and advertising placements achieve optimal reach and engagement.
  • Stay updated with the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications and experience

• Education
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, or related roles.
  • Ability to create and analyse reports to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Proven experience with social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience in finance, investment, or business news, with a strong understanding of current challenges in local and global media is a plus.
