Key purpose of the role

Ensuring the timely and accurate payment of employee salaries

Key outputs/accountability

• Accurate and Timely processing of payroll
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
• Monthly analysis of payroll related data
• Maintenance of complete payroll records in line with regulations
• Collaboration with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations
• Monthly balance sheet recons for payroll related control accounts
• Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll related matters.

Educational qualifications, experience and skills 

• Diploma in Payroll Administration or related qualification in Finance.
• Experience in Sage 300 People is essential.
• Good understanding of financial concepts and payroll legislation, e.g., Employee tax, Remuneration, Fringe Benefits, BCEA, Pension Fund Rules and Medical Schemes.
• Excellent skills using MSOffice (Excel, Word)
• Minimum two years of experience working in an equivalent or similar role.
• Media industry experience advantageous.
