A design agency in Paarl with longstanding clients is looking for a talented, hardworking social media content creator for our clients’ social media accounts. You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. You will manage our clients’ company images in a cohesive way to achieve their marketing goals.

As a content creator, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our clients’ views creatively.

Ultimately, you should be able to handle our clients’ social media presence ensuring high levels of reach and engagement.

Essential skills:

• Relevant degree or diploma
• An in-depth understanding of different social media channels, specifically Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Expertise in video editing and social media content creation
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of social media marketing
• Experience with content management systems

Responsibilities:

• Produce creative and original content (copy/captions, images and video) for all social media platforms, whilst maintaining a consistent, high-quality brand image.
• Communicate with followers & respond to queries in a timely manner
• Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
• Stay up to date with the latest social media updates, trends and influencers/collaborators.

Candidates must also:

• Have a minimum of two years of recent experience in content creation for social media platforms
• Naturally curious with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Takes initiative and is willing to go the extra mile and deliver tasks to the best of their ability.
• Manage time well and work quickly
• Be a team player
• Be able to handle pressure and work with tight deadlines 
• Be willing to assist wherever required

• Enthusiastic attitude to life and a good sense of humour is a prerequisite
• Essential that you have great people skills as you will work in a team
• Passionate about social media, fun personality, self-motivated
