Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data warehousing and data lake solutions to support business needs
- Implement ETL processes using tools such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Matillion, SSIS
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security by implementing data governance and quality best practices
- Optimise and maintain existing ETL pipelines for performance and scalability
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, particularly in cloud data engineering.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology
- Strong experience with data warehousing and data lake architecture and technologies
- Experience in Data Vault and dimensional modelling techniques for data warehousing
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, AWS EMR, and Databricks is a plus
- Experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka
