The week on social media
Acumen Media has collated the week's biggest stories on social media. Let's have a look.
President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered his State of the Nation address (SONA) and social media users had plenty to say -- from the EFF's calm to the number of things that Ramaphosa had done since being sworn in as the leader of the country. In other Ramaphosa-related news, Black First Land First (BLF) indicated that it would lay charges against the president following the revelation that he had accepted R500,000 from Bosasa.
BLF's shenanigans continued with a demand that the president apologise to Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and made some shocking statements about the Driehoek Tragedy. The State Capture Inquiry continued to captivate the country with Adriaan Basson taking the state this week. The Hawks has also started making Bosasa-related arrests with Linda Mti handing himself over.
The rest of the social media discourse involved Eskom, the assault incident at the San Souci High School, the ongoing electioneering ahead of the 2019 Elections and Supra Mahumapelo's victory in court.
