Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and extroverted key account manager to join a company in the petroleum industry, specifically focusing on diesel and fuel energy products.
The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of the fuel industry, a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with major wholesalers, and the expertise to conduct thorough market research to drive business growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Client relationship management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, primarily major wholesalers in the fuel industry.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are promptly addressed.
- Regularly meet with clients to understand their business goals and align them with company offerings.
- Market research and analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive research on potential clients and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Understand the target market, including the specific needs and challenges faced by wholesalers in the fuel industry.
- Analyse competitor activities and market conditions to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
- Product knowledge:
- Develop an expert understanding of the company’s diesel and fuel energy products, including technical specifications and market applications.
- Communicate product features and benefits effectively to clients, ensuring they understand how the products meet their specific needs.
- Sales and negotiation:
- Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of products and services to clients.
- Reporting and documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on account status, market trends, and sales performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, sales activities, and contracts in the CRM system.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a key account manager or in a similar role, preferably within the petroleum or energy industry.
- Strong understanding of the fuel industry, particularly in diesel products and their applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and analyse market data.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Extroverted personality: Comfortable engaging with clients and building strong relationships.
- Industry knowledge: Deep understanding of the petroleum (diesel/fuel energy) industry.
