Java Development Manager

We are currently searching for a development manager to join our fast-paced financial institution, we are looking for someone who has proven experience in Java Development and team leadership.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Team management:

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers
• Oversee daily operations and ensure project milestones are met
• Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs

Project coordination:

• Plan, execute, and deliver software projects on time and within budget
• Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
• Manage the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Network management:

• Supervise network infrastructure to ensure stability and security
• Collaborate with network engineers to optimise performance and resolve issues

Vendor management:

• Coordinate with third-party vendors for system integrations, upgrades, and maintenance
• Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met

IT technicians and support:

• Oversee IT support staff to ensure prompt resolution of technical issues
• Implement and maintain IT policies and procedures
• Manage hardware and software procurement and inventory

Collaboration and communication:

• Foster a collaborative environment among teams and departments
• Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders
• Liaise with senior management to align IT strategies with business goals

Technical expertise:

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
• Provide technical guidance and support to the development and IT teams
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
